Hello, fellow pet lovers!
This week, I had the absolute pleasure of caring for three wonderful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels: Bertie, Fleur, and Elsa. These three delightful dogs made each day special and filled with joy. Let me take you through our time together!
Afternoon and Evening Walks
One of the highlights of our time together was our daily walks. Bertie, Fleur, and Elsa love to explore, so we made sure to go on lots of afternoon and evening strolls. The cooler parts of the day were perfect for these adventures, allowing the dogs to stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh air without the summer heat bearing down on them. Each walk was an opportunity for them to sniff around and enjoy some quality exercise. It was a joy to see their tails wagging happily as we explored different routes each day.
Staying Cool During the Day and Night
Summer days can be quite warm, and it’s essential to keep our furry friends comfortable. To make sure Bertie, Fleur, and Elsa stayed cool, I kept the fans on during the day and night. Whether they were napping after a play session or winding down after a walk, these sleepy doggos were kept in a cool, cozy environment. Seeing them relax so peacefully was a reminder of how important it is to create a comfortable space for our pets, especially during the hotter months.
Playtime in the Garden
When we weren’t out on our walks, we spent plenty of time playing in the garden. The garden is a wonderful space for these pups to let loose and have some fun. Elsa, in particular, absolutely loves playing with her toys. Bertie and Fleur enjoyed having lots of fuss and cuddles, making playtime a joyful occasion filled with laughter, barks, and wagging tails. The garden became our little oasis, a place where the dogs could play freely and enjoy their time outside with me.
Medication and Care
Ensuring the health and well-being of the dogs was my top priority throughout the week. I made sure they received their medications on time, every morning and night. This consistent care is crucial for managing their health conditions and maintaining their overall well-being.
Garden Care
In addition to taking care of the dogs, I also made sure to water the plants in the garden. Keeping the garden lush and green added to the peaceful atmosphere, providing a perfect backdrop for our play sessions. A well-maintained garden isn’t just good for the plants—it also creates a beautiful, safe environment for the dogs to enjoy.
Reflecting on a Wonderful Week
Spending time with Bertie, Fleur, and Elsa was an absolute joy. They are such sweet, affectionate dogs, each with their own unique personality. Whether we were out on a walk, playing in the garden, or just relaxing in the cool indoors, every moment was filled with happiness. It’s experiences like these that remind me why I love being a pet sitter—there’s nothing quite like the bond you form with these wonderful animals.
