Here at Hols Pets, we always enjoy looking after the delightful cats that come under our care, and for two weeks I had the pleasure of spending time with Pixie. As always, she was an absolute joy to look after, and I thought I'd share a little bit about her staycation!
A Lap of Luxury (Literally!)
Pixie is a true connoisseur of comfort. From the moment I arrived, she was thrilled with all the fuss and attention – and made sure to return it with plenty of purring and head bumps! Her favourite spot, however, was undoubtedly my lap. Every chance she got, Pixie would hop up, settle down, and relax, basking in the warmth and affection. It’s safe to say, I think I spent more time being Pixie’s personal relaxation chair than I anticipated – but I didn’t mind one bit!
Soaking up the Sunshine
Pixie certainly knows how to make the most of her days. With summer slowly coming to a close, she was keen to enjoy every last bit of the sunshine. Mornings and evenings were her favourite times to sit by the windows, soaking up the sun as it filtered in. Whether it was stretching out in the morning rays or enjoying the golden light at sunset, Pixie was clearly in her element. It was lovely to see her lounging peacefully, content to let the world go by.
Mealtime Delights
Of course, no cat sitting visit would be complete without some delicious food. Pixie certainly didn’t shy away from her meals – she was always happy to tuck into her favourite foods, with a contented ‘thank you’ purr afterwards. While she clearly enjoyed her food, nothing quite compared to her love for relaxing with me on the sofa afterwards.
The Purr-fect Companion
All in all, Pixie’s stay was filled with a wonderful mix of sunlit lounging, playful exploration, and plenty of lap time. She’s the perfect reminder of how important it is to enjoy life’s simple pleasures – from soaking up the last warm days of summer to spending time with loved ones.
I can’t wait to see Pixie again for her next staycation, and I'm sure she’ll be back to claim her favourite spot on my lap soon enough!
